Obliterati Ensemble is a drone choir founded by Tara Toms and Jessie Pierce. The work focuses on long vocal tones, microtonal movement, and repetitive, slowly evolving sounds. Scores are primarily original compositions made by Tara and/or other members. The foundation of our ethos is a delight in exploration of sustained attentional practice through continuous sound.

Obliterati is an open-call ensemble, meaning anyone is welcome to participate. When we book shows I will put out a call to all who have expressed interest in performing and those who are available and willing will be invited to a rehearsal (in Harrisburg, PA) and then to join the band for that event. Performers will be asked to sing, speak, play instruments, or move their bodies - depending on the score. Email me if you want to be added to the roster.
